About Me

Welcome! My name is Michael Porterfield. I'm a faith-led therapist who deeply believes in the genuineness and resilience inside every person. I approach my work with compassion, intuition, and a heart that sees people for who they truly are. Our focus in session is on you, the person as a whole, and not simply what you've been through.I bring a gentle, empathetic, and values-driven energy into my sessions. My professional background includes extensive work in hospice, long-term care, and traditional mental health therapy. I hold a Master certification in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, a unique therapy approach that combines bilateral stimulation with voluntary image replacement to deliver results in as few as one session. I use this to help you meet your goals, targeting issues like depression, anxiety, grief, trauma/PTSD, substance use, self-worth, and overall life stress.Whether you're seeking healing, clarity, or simply a space to breathe, I will meet you here with kindness and understanding.What are you waiting for? Mental Health Therapy

Therapy is covered by most insurance companies. Co-pays vary by insurance.
Private-pay therapy is also available at $100/session, up to 60 minutes.
In-person sessions are avaliable in Dothan, AL.
Virtual sessions are avaliable to anyone living in Alabama, Georgia, or Florida.
